Carbine Conversion Kits
AR9 Kit (also known as universal remote control) is the most common type of remote control for semi-automatic rifles. The AR9 Kit consists of a magazine well, a bolt carrier, a pistol grip, and a pump. Although it is a universal remote control, it only accepts one type of cartridge, the 9mm Beretta. It has no functionality in other sizes or calibers.
There are several different types of AR9 kits available. There are first-gen products that are compatible with all standard M4 style rifles and pistols, and there are second gen products that are made for use with the standard Tokyo Marui Mews GBA Brushed Stainless steel Modular AEG Airsoft Rifle. The Tokyo Marui Mews has an updated model, which is called the Marui BT-GC, which has more hi-tech features and can fire larger BB's than the standard Mews. The Tokyo Marui also comes with two pistol grips, one for the operator and one for the rifle. There are also a fixed stock AEG for the operator and a folding stock AEG for the rifle. This AEG is compatible with most standard M4 style rifles, as it uses the same pinion and bolt pattern.
An additional feature of this type of AR9 kit is the magazine well. This includes a magazine well cap, a magazine, and an upper receiver that are compatible with all M4 style rifles and pistols. When feeding magazines from this magazine well, it is possible to adjust the tension on the upper receiver using the included spring pin. The magazine is fed through the magazine well using a push rod, similar to the magazine fed from a standard M4 rifle.
The magazine itself can be loaded manually or electronically. When loaded manually, the user will need to cock the rifle before feeding the magazine. When feeding the magazine well with this type of kit, it is possible to move the magazine from its forward position by depressing the pinion. This allows for easy magazine feeding for both long guns and short guns. Unlike other AR9 kits, this one is designed with a high output recoil force, which is very effective for training purposes.
The final component of the carbine conversion kit is the front-end buffer tube. This part connects the buffer spring to the carbine's front sight. When installing the carbine into the AEG, the tube must be cut to the proper length and the front sight should be attached to the tube. Once installed, it is important to attach the hop-up.
These are the main parts of an AR9 or accent build kit. However, there are other minor components that are necessary to complete the AR9 package. A stock is a must, and this is available in many different styles. Eyelets, screws, a sling swivel, and a sling brace are also important parts for any type of AR9 conversion. If you are going to purchase a fully completed carbine, you should also make sure to purchase a good quality AEG or lower receiver.
